Headin' into Spring

i would like to see what the play calling for the future would be but you have to remember that it has always been a pretty generic show. (you dont want to give anything new to the other guy)

Lee more than likely will miss spring practices, so I want to see how Green, Martinez, and Spano are going to step in.

Washington makes a move back to saftey

How Baker and Crick work together.

1. Offensive Line

2. Quarterback

3. Safety

If we can successfully address all three, we'll be a top 10 team. If not, we might lose four again. The O-line play against Arizona was promising. Hopefully they're approaching the offseason with the same mentality of the O-line going into the '94 season. The quarterback issue is obvious. Either Zac Lee gets it together or somebody else needs to step up and be the type of confident leader any top ten teams needs. And at safety, we lost two pretty good ones. Rickey T is back but no one knows how good he will be after the injury.
Honestly I think the secondary should be among the least of our concerns in 2010, and that includes the safeties. Sure, we're losing two big-time players in Larry & Matt, but consider all those secondary guys who have valuable experience with Pelini's match read zone. There's Prince, Dennard & Gomes at CB, Hagg, PJ Smith, Thenarse, & Cassidy at S. If there's any concern in the secondary, it would be the DBs because there's a slew of young guys with much less experience - Dijon Washington & Andrew Green are probably the front-runners & both have a high ceiling.

Wasnt the staff big on Lazarri Middleton? He has good size at 6'1" 175 lbs.

Hope to see Blue back in the mix too.

WR will be interesting, there's some buzz about McNeill dropping a bit of weight and lining up at WR this year, his talent is catching the ball, and he's a subpar blocker for a TE, could be an interesting move. McNeill could be a Todd Peterson type WR for the offense next year, his big frame would present some interesting matchups with some of the smaller DB's.

Great topic!

I am hoping to see a vast improvement with the offense. I really think the pieces are there to be a lot better than last year. Watching the bowl game proved that. I was a little confused as to why it took so long for them to put some of that stuff in there, but now that it is, I am pretty pumped about the offense.

The biggest question will be at QB. With Lee healthy and with a hopefully better offensive line, will he be the guy? Does Green fall behind Spano and then take a RS?
