He better be invited and if he breaks some big records on the way (which he is on pace to do) he should win the heisman. He is on pace to break the all time season rushing record set by Barry Sanders. Plus he might be able to break the alltime rushing record.
He should get an invite but since most of his stats are accomplished against "little brothers" it is very unlikely he'll get the trophy. His stats against Ohio State were noteworthy and the only other team of stature left on the the schedule is Iowa. To pad those stats he may need a 300+ yard, 6 td game against lowly Temple.
He will be in NYC imo. He won't win it though. My question though, is that if ZT plays great the rest of the year, with big games against UT, Mizzou, A&M, and the Big XII Championship, will he be there? I think he can.
Through three quarters vs. Western Michigan Wolfe has 15 carries for 19 yards. This game will knock him out of contention. He needed to have a perfect season vs. all those small teams to even compete.
This game really hurt Wolfe's chances at even getting to NYC for the Heisman show. He is going to have to have some big games to get back into contention.
Troy Smith might be walking away with the Heisman by default. Peterson is hurt, Wolfe had a horrible game against a team that he couldn't afford to have a bad game against. Brohm and Bush were both injuried. Calvin Johnson is probally out since the voters don't give a whole lot of credit to recievers. Heck the next closest to Smith might be Ian Johnson from Boise State from just looking at the stats.
