Hello from LA

This game should be fun to watch. Still can't believe that Vince "my-knee-was-down-on-the-pitch-but-they-didn't-catch-me" Young got lucky in that damn Rose Bowl last year.

Personally I don't feel Iowa St. can hang with us. They lost a lot of their defense and everyone knows that defenses win championships!!! ;)

The only thing that worries me about the game with ISU is that it will be in their house, where we haven't won since 2000, and their offense will be really good. That said we still win by 17. 26-9 maybe where they get in the red zone, but can't get past the blackshirts!

Well I haven't posted a message here for a while but USCfan has gotten my interest.

It's very sportsman like that you talk very well about Nebraska but I'm not sure about your geniuine. I'm not saying that you don't like the Huskers but I'm wondering if you are are blinding people of what you want us to hear. Like "Take it easy on us"...when in fact that USC will be the big favorite especially when we are going to your house. Can you remind me what a Trojan Horse mean? Now I don't talk on behalf of all husker fans but maybe some...so I can say this.

I truely believe that Nebraska will win because it wants it more, and the talent of the players and the Coaching staff.....but most of all...because of the Fans. There will be more Husker fans there than than you expect.

But as a Husker fan....I do apologize if I'm wrong about your geniuine. And I totally respect your opinion about the Husker Program.

Well I do understand your opinion. I do like Nebraska. I always had fights with my college roommate because him and his buddy like Oklahoma. haha.

Well I am probably past the time I should be posting on here anyway, and I don't want to annoy anyone.

Have a great season :cheers

If you are truely saying what you saying....then I apologize. I really respect the USC program....

No problem Gin...I really don't belong on here anyway as an 'SC fan...maybe we will see ya again in the BCS game. ;)

Your site has alot of better emoticons than our USC site.....this one fits me pretty good when discussing college football......haha

:boxosoap

Everyones viewpoint is welcome on this board. Just the usual rules apply. I even have some USC friends, especially since I live in SoCal. :)

Feel free to express your opinions USC most of us like to have discussions with other teams fans. As long as it doesn't get out of hand!!! You don't seem like that type stick around for some good discussions!!! :thumbs

by all means stick around and give us your take on all things......as you can see this board has a number of different forums and if you really want to talk trash and have thick skin ask the mods for a password and join us "Behind the Woodshed"

Good luck to USC this year also except when the "Big Red" come to town then watch out. Who ever your QB is going to be this year (Booty or Sanchez) they better watch out because the "Blackshirts" are loaded and will be ready to do some QB planting into the turf there.

Thanks everyone :cheers

The reason I am concerned about the game, for USC, is two reasons.

First, after that awesome victory over Michigan (yeah! I hate michigan-haha) The team has alot of confidence and is ready to kick butt and take names.

Second, Zac Taylor is such a good QB, he threw for 2,653 yards last year and will be even better this year. And as everyone saw, the USC secondary probably couldn't cover an old lady with a walker. It's gonna be a back and forth game. But the USC QB has no experience at all. He threw 47 passes last year. And, the only healthy RB we have hasn't played in 2 years. (Academically inelligible) So I don't think USC is going to be able to keep up over the length of the game with the Nebraska offense. My brother (Michigan St. fan-BOO) says "Well you can never count out Pete Carroll" I agree, but he can't win the game by himself. ;)

One player I think is very talented is Marlon Lucky. He is from California, how come he hasn't played much so far?

Well I hope someone can beat Ohio St. I am near Ohio St. here in Detroit. It is academically, a joke. Most of the students are commuters and the schools here like Central Michigan University are harder. HAHA

I don't know why everyone is so high on Notre Dame. OK obviously I don't like Notre Dame. But let's look at the facts: Their defense last year was horrible, their seconday was 103rd in the nation against the pass. 2 of the 3 LB's have graduated, also. How can a team with that bad of a defense win the championship? It's that Notre Dame favoritism again.

If anyone has watched the '71 Nebraska-OU game on ESPN classic, you might have heard that on one of the last punts of the game, Johnny Rogers was ON KICK COVERAGE! Isn't that amazing? Could you imagne playing Reggie Bush on punt coverage?? Things have changed alot since 1971.

I sincerely hope that you reconsider and continue to post. We really do appreciate the viewpoints of fans of other teams - gives us a chance at a different perspective. In addition, it's a chance for us to hear how other fans view other teams - both within and outside the Big 12. For example, I'd love to hear the SC take on Notre Dame, and I'm sure others here would as well.

Not to mention that we'll be beginning a home-and-home with UCLA in a few years - we'd like your take on them when that starts.

Stick around - take a look at the "Other Sports" section as well - some very good discusions that aren't necessarily Husker related.

AR Husker fan you must be a Beatles fan? I am too, man I have everything they ever did. :worship

Well, asking for my take on Notre Dame and UCLA.....oh boy haha

UCLA is OK I guess. Their fans are very rude to USC fans so I don't talk to them much. I have seen them play alot. They have a good QB, Olson, and a good offense. They also run a complex, pro style offense like USC. Their O-line is decent and they have decent receivers. They don't have problems putting up points.

However, their defense is TERRIBLE. The whole shot...D-line, linebackers, secondary. They just haven't gotten any good recruits lately. USC hung 66 points on them last year and could of gotten more. And, they don't have alot of team confidence. Get 'em down, and they go in the tank and want to go home. Just look at the Arizona game last year.

So I don't see any problem with big red beating them...once Taylor throws some TD's they will panic again.

Notre Dame is pretty much the same. Their fans are also very arrogant. I have tried to talk to them and I have given up. My best friend here is from Indiana originally and loves the domers. I think they are overrated. Charlie Weis brought in a new playbook and caught people by surprise. I mean, they lost to USC, Michigan St., got run off the field by Ohio st, and almost lost to Michigan and Stanford. Beyond that 103rd ranked pass defense, their LB corps is a mess. 2 of the 3 from last year graduated. They are moving an Outside LB to Middle, and playing 2 freshmen around him. The seconday is the same as last year, which gave up 265 ypg. Not good. The DL is average. Brady Quinn is a good QB and everyone is back from last year so they have a good offense. But not great...actually they only averaged 147 ypg rushing, which was 55th in the nation. Nothing to brag about. With the Nebraska D so good this year, I don't think there would be a problem defeating them, either.

Told ya--------> :boxosoap

hahaha :)
