Recruiting is always crucial but what made NU great in the glory days was their walk on program....they were churning out All-Americans that started as walk-ons left and right.

Please name me 5 NU All-Americans that started as a walk on?

The walk on program didn't make NU great, it definitely enhanced the program but it wasn't the driver of the program.

A fine attempt at an allusion!  However, Richard wasn't saying that it was, as he was speaking, the winter of their discontent. He was saying that the winter was now being supplanted by summer with the rightful installation of a new king and was making a Sun/son pun. So instead try:

Now is the winter of our discontent

Made glorious summer by this son of York Wood River.

Fair enough and I can't....I just remember those teams having a lot of great talent coming from walk-on program.
