Helmet 2 Helmet

With all the fines in the NFL and suspensions in the NCAA with helmet on helmet collisions when many of them I feel are the result of poor tackling. Leading with the helmet or using the helmet as a weapon is just bad basic fundamentals. Go back and watch the early days of football when they used leather helmets, like Sammy Baugh. Players in those days broke down and shoulder tackled. Maybe thats what we need, go back to the leather helmet to show that your body and not your head is the portion used for tackling.

Impossible due to the improvements in speed and strength for modern athletes. When impacting at the types of speeds we're talking about, you are bound to end up with head injuries in this type of situation. It would give offense too much of an advantage in the end. Already hard to play defense.
