Helu Ran 4.25?

I'm more concerned about what Helu's vertical is. If it's high enough, he can just continue to hurdle over potential tacklers. Even when they're standing upright.

These are some of the fastest 40-yard dash times we could discover. Most of these athletes are football players (unless otherwise noted), b/c they have official times recorded at combines. If you hear anymore official (or semi-official, since there is no real world record), add them to the list:

BS Flash runs 4.43 <_<

I didn't know Jordan ran a 4.3 though

A friend of mine that played for UTEP recorded a 4.19 his senior year. I don't think it was for the combine though. He now plays for the Raiders... Johnnie Lee Higgins Jr.

Man I would love to belive that Helu ran a 4.25 during summer workouts, cause then it would show me how hard they worked out during the summer. So I guess we all will find out soon enough.

Remember when Helu got ran down by that Iowa State player last year? <_<
you mean the one who had an angle on him......
Fast is outrunning someone even when they do have an angle. A few runs from Bo Jackson come to mind, heck even Ahman had a few of those on the highlight reels. Helu is awesome, finds the hole and gets through it quickly, but has not shown elite top end speed. Doesn't mean he isn't one of my favorite Huskers. For example, I would be willing to bet that Prince Amukamara is faster than Helu, doesn't mean he would be a better rb(eventhough had he been given the chance, he might have been).

I'm not sure where to find the stats, but I was watching something and the anouncer said Dan Alexander ran the fastes 40 of all Husker backs? I'd love to verify that if possible. There was a question posed durring the game/program or whatever: What running back recorded the fastest 40 yrd dash for Nebraska? I was shocked to hear them say... "I doubt many got this one right, even the hard core husker fans, It was Dan Alexander" or something very close to that.

Can anyone find these stats?
