Since we have our old coach as ad and our new power stance coach why dont we really bring back the tradition. I want herbie the husker back. This new dude looks roided out.

not that anyone would believe it with how we have played like pussies for the past 4 years...

 
I happen to prefer the new Herbie over the old. Enough people across the country already think we all resemble old Herbie in our daily lives. At least new Herbie doesn't promote ridiculous stereotypes that we're fat, lazy, ignorant hicks.

 
Didn't Herbie Husker used to be known as Harry Husker? I seem to remember every Saturday that the OWH would have Harry Husker on the front page predicting the terrible mauling that that week's opponent was going to get...Stuff like "Harry says the Cornhuskers will maul the Tigers 945 - 3".

Harry Husker was a bad a$$ dude!

I think I'm with you on this...in fact, I think it's the only thing Steve Pederson ever did that I actually liked.

 
I would like the old Herbie back. The Pedey version looks like a lumber jack, not a farmer.

Pedey seemed to be involved in all decisions, even down to the mascot. I just can't see Tom getting that involved in the small stuff, so probably there won't be a change.

I disagree. People will never change their views of Nebraska, regardless of what the college mascot is. Lets have fun with it!

 
how about a compromise

at least give the new husker back the blue overalls and the straw colored hat. I still like the old herbie though and no your never going to change people stereotypes on the state of nebraska. Who cares what people think anyways when your kickin there a**

I happen to think the new one is fun.

I think Lil' Red is the most fun, though. He is the best of them all. :thumbs

I met Lil' Red for a beer down at Lazlo's last night. He told me he really likes you and respects your opinion on a lot of things.

I think he'd be sad to hear you don't like him.
