Herbie Logo Changed

This isn't an example of cancel culture, it's a University making a pro-active, but extremely minor change to a University logo. It was done to avoid a potential issue down the road, and in their effort to make it a non-issue, peoples panties got in a wad over the change in Herbie's hand signal.

Was it done to avoid a potential issue or a past issue? Because your explanation contradicts the official explanation, thus making both your assessment invalid and the message from the university is simply virtue signaling a non-issue.

For the most part I am a caring and understanding person, but the cancel culture can go f#&% itself!
Um…this isn’t cancel culture. This is dealing with a hand gesture that’s been appropriated by white supremacists…no matter how many times people claim “it was a hoax” and make excuses for white supremacists.

If you or anyone else are butthurt by this, then maybe instead of making excuses for people engaging in white supremacy because they support “your guy”, you should be pissed off at the white supremacists and should be working to get rid of them and their enablers…

Yep!

An issue that it not an issue but that could be an issue because of crazy people.

But who's crazier?  The ones who think that Herbie is holding up a symbol used by white supremacists (even if may or may not be an internet hoax) or the ones getting all mad about Herbie changing the formation of 3 fingers because the University is bending the knee to the whole mob?  That's basically all that's being argued now.  I think both parties are crazy at this point.

I ordered a new Nebraska "track jacket" (full zip sweatshirt) and I really liked it because it had Herbie as the logo on the front. Well, I got it shipped tonight and it's has the "new" Herbie giving the #1 hand symbol instead of the "okay" symbol. I am so mad, I'm gonna return it right away!!

Oh wait, that's not what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna be normal, realize it's a minor change to an otherwise, classic logo, and wear it like I do with all of my other Cornhusker gear.
