It's a good story, but I don't think he will be that big of a deal. He was average when healthy, hasn't played in almost 2 years, and has 2 messed up knees. He's not 100% I certainly wouldn't count on much from Bowman this year.
I dunno if 11 PBU's in the final 2 games of 05 is average, but he does have a lot of rust to shake off.
He certainly did play much better in those last 2 games, but can he return to that form after 2 major knee injuries?

Can he return to that form after 2 knee surgeries is yet to be seen. Instead of forming your opinion of how he is going to be before he even plays a snap this season, why don't you wait until you see him play before you start saying that you wouldn't expect much from him this year! He has made a great recovery so far. He wasn't expected to be back until mid season. I think that alone goes to show you the guy has great motivation and work ethic! Wait and see. I think he will suprise you!
He may not even play but a few snaps per game until Mizzou. Like I said, if the season is halfway over before he contributes I wouldn't expect much.

So basically, look at everything you post...then believe the complete opposite. I get it. :hmmph

everyone knows Bowman has a long ways to go yet to get back to playing speed, but he is moving in the right directions. it will take more than a couple practice sessions to determine just how far he has come.

I was watching the news last night when I saw them interview Zack Bowman.

Zack said he feels like 90-95% back, and said he expects and encourages opposing Qbs to pick on him cuz he had 2 knee surgeries. From the way he's talking, he might be back to his old self on the field(I hope!).

Don't know how much he plays at first, but just getting him back to start practicing again is a good first step.

Just thinking of what hes had to go through makes my knee's ache. :)

Welcome back Zack and good luck.

Now that's different than Andre Jones talking crap last year because Zack can actually back it up!!!! :clap

I would be willing to bet that Bowman will play at least half the snaps if not more in the USC game. You think he has busted his butt like he has to get back to not be playing in that game? You are crazy if you think other wise!

In the World Herald today, he said that he "wasn't even thinking about Nevada or Wake."

I think he said that referring to he wasn't worried about exactly when he gets back to play, just focusing on getting healthy so he can play. I took it as him not wanting to set a goal and not be able to reach that date and be disappointed.

I guess I didn't read that much into it, who knows?
