Hindsight is 20/20

Again look at what he was left. Devaney was no recruiting slouch...and our walk ons were many. Bo was handed sh#t

It's not about preference president we don't get to choose this reality. Buy the ticket take the ride, we chose this hiring bo
I full accept he's not getting canned. He should. I don't see how you can defend him anymore. We should buy his contract out.
Don't be too sure about that. If what I heard today is true, then he will be gone. But what makes me leary is that I heard the same crap last year, with the only difference is that he has lost the two people that saved his a$$ last year. If that is true, then we will have a new HC in a matter of weeks.
And we will be back to BC type of football. It's looking up now.
Ok chicken little, we should just accept being Iowa West and keep our heads in the sand. Hell if Bo were given three more years and didn't win the conference, then we would be below Iowa as they at least win the conference once or twice a decade.

Okay, let's look at our team right now:

One of the greatest RBs in Husker history.

A top 5 draft pick in DE.

WR record holder for most receptions and yards in a career.

A d-line that's supposed to be stacked.

Lose every game against ranked opponents.

I understand the frustration don't get me wrong. But I don't know what you guys expeceted with an unproven first time hc. Growing pains suck

Find me a d1 coach who is a first time coach winning conference championships and national titles in their first 7 years. You won't find one. Wake up and realize we have alot of growing to do. Patience must be a virtue
Bob Stoops...in his second season at OU

I also bet it's safe to say that the landscape of teams in the 70-90's is much much more different then it is now. Everyone has state of the art weight rooms, 100 sets of uniforms that draw recruits. Everyone plays on tv now. The playing fields are much more even. But I guess that doesn't make a difference now does it.

Bo was handed a lot more than Bill was by Frank. What is your point?

And walk on's don't win you sh#t. What an overrated part of Nebraska lore. They were useful under Bob and Tom before there were limitations on the programs and not everyone was on TV. So we were able to talk talented kids into waiting for two years to play because they would get national attention by playing for Nebraska. Now with expanded TV and a limit to assistants and walk ons, that program is full of kids that are just happy to be on the scout team and are not div 1 caliber players. If you rely on walk on's to save your butt, then your staff is really bad at recruiting.
