Holding in OU game . . .

Knappic noted that holding hasn't been called against our opponents much this year...

OU tried 58 passes and didn't hold on a single one . . . despite the fact that our All-American loaded DL only had 2 sacks.

Here is a perfect example of OU not holding:

Great post, I've been saying all year, they might as well throw the holding rule out of the rule book, because it never gets called. Especially since they're "babying" QB's so much anymore, I'm suprised they haven't made holding legal simply to protect the QB.

This isn't a holding picture...but it's a sweet picture.

I definitely agree with the lack of holding. Especially against OU. I made it a point to go back and rewatch the game looking specifically at the lines and there were some blatanly missed holding calls

You call that a hold? Just because he has his hand on that dudes shoulder? There would be holding on everybody on every single play if that was the case !!!!!

You are right . . . having a solid grip of someones shoulder pads (from behind I might add) and dragging behind him (look at Cricks angle . . . he's getting pulled backwards) is "having a hand on someone's shoulder." <_<

Go ahead and throw some more exclamation points in your post. It won't make your argument any better.

Well, holding probably does happen in one way or another on every play, and griping about non-calls...eh. I'm more in the let them play camp there. That looks kind of blatant though, Crick is practically getting dragged backwards, or that's what it looks like.

Anyway, Helu needs to be careful to not get hurt like Jahvid Best.

There is holding every play. The picture above is questionable. If the hand was fully open, I'd say no hold. However, you can see some finger meaning it's not a closed fist hold onto the jersey. So, some ref's might call it a hold while others will not.

totally disagree, the guy is beat. For the OL, once the DT is behind you like that you can't hardly even touch him legally, bc he is deep enough probly to be outside the "block in the back" zone (3 yards or 5 can't remember). that is one of the types of holdings that is usually called too, bc its easiest for the refs to see it. those andthe outside blocker on an outside run.
