How do you get rid of old downloads??

Where are they stored??

Does Ad-aware really work?

When your computer gets slow what do you do?

I'm slow, and don't concern myself with these things.

Need help.....

 
yes run your adaware that will really help speed things up. Another suggestion is to go programs, accessories, system tools and then do a disk cleanup and a disk defragment.

 
I have the adaware. After it's clean do I just delete all of the infected files.

Yes.

When I fix someones computer I will usually run Ad-Aware first, then Spybot Search and Destroy. HiJackThis can be helpful too, but you really have to know what you are doing to use it.

If it is really bad, I have them bring the PC over to my place. I copy all their data off of it and reinstall the operating system.
