How big will the screen be?

Does anyone know how big the screen will be?

I guess it wont be up this year <_<

IMO that should have been the first thing to go up after the support beams since we knew the seats wouldnt be ready. Cause the speaker system last year blew. And I dont like my Huskers sounding bad...damn wish I had the HUGE donor check! One day dammit one day! :wasted

From what i know from someone who works construction projects, it will be on top of the stands extending from one side of the North stadium to the other. It will be longer in length then the one pictured above and taller. It will be the largest monitor in sports

Yeah, they won't even try setting it up this year because it will be to much of a hassle. Plus they aren't completly done with the new seats and still have some minor work to do on them, and with football season around the corner, its better to just finish up then try to start another project at the moment. When i was in lincoln a couple days ago, i saw that they had put up 4 new beams right above the seats that will hold the minotor. The beams hovered anywhere between 40-60 feet, so needless to say, the monitor is going to be a jumbotron

I know a lot of people are going to be wondering about people who watch the NU game seeing 5,000 seats empty this season. Some people might be worried that will effect us on tv considering we have had a sellout streak since the begining of time, but i am sure the announcers will make a point to reference they are not done yet.

Huskers.com issued this statement yesterday

The seats will appear to be ready but won’t be available for use this year because the exits are not in place.

 

Once the last home game is played the ramps will be torn down and the new exiting will be put into place

 
thanks nameless i am real interested in this so if you see any news on it i would glad to revisit this topic....wow jumbotron biggest screen in sports will work for me and prolly bring more recruits

 
Sweetness! I cant wait for that to be in place! Will the two HuskerVision screens still be operating after next year?

That screen could be one thing that just makes the recruits say wow, I could be up on that in front of 80,000 people!

The screen will be an awesome addition!

 
does anyone know anyone in construction that might know the dimensions of the screen? sorry I am antzy :wacko:
