How do you feel about the different Bowl Match-Ups for Nebraska since being the B1G?

I like the idea of playing an SEC team in a non-BCS bowl. Especially if it's a team like UGA/Carolina/LSU it's fun to see where we stack against the "all mighty" SEC.
Totally agree.

It seems that we match up closer than most of us, myself included, would've ever guessed.

Northwestern gets whatever the hell that thing that Purdue played in.
Funny!

-----------------------------

I am not sure why people are so against the Rose Bowl. Let's see, a super bowl type atmosphere with beautiful weather, best stadium in cfb and 100,000 in attendance vs the Sugar/Orange with half-empty dank stadiums with piss poor tv ratings.

I'm much happier with the bowl match-ups we get in the B1G and the destinations..................much better IMO. If we could throw Iowa out of the B1G I'd be pretty happy............

As a member of the Big 12, I attended bowls in San Antoinio (great place), San Diego (Wonderful), Dallas (yuck, but great nudie bars), Tempe / Pheonix (not horrible), Jacksonville (not bad...and now it is a Big 10 tie in)...Miami...but that was old Big 8 days..

** The destinations weren't horrible, but in today's world, I would hate being tied into New York City, Memphis, etc......

I would have to say that Pasadena, Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, Dallas (?), and Tempe/Pheonix (?) are more attractive for vacation deals, but will say I really wish that the Holiday Bowl was on the table, because San Diego was awesome and I wish the Alamo would have stayed Big12 vs Big 10

** The downfall is that a lot of Big 10 destinations are pretty expensive places to travel in January or late December. I went to San Diego for about 1K less than it was going to cost to go to Orlando or Tampa.... Stupid Mickey Mouse !!
