How to fix CFB?

What if universities set an academic requirement stating in order to play varsity sports you have to be on campus for 2-3 terms, unless you are: incoming freshman, hold an AA degree, or incoming grad student.

They’ll never all agree to go through with this but I wonder if universities could use academic expectations to curb what’s going on and circumvent cumbersome lawsuits.
In the past (a long time ago), freshman couldn't compete. They had to be on campus for a year first.

2 24-team playoffs. One for the natty, and one more akin to the NIT for basketball.

Then #49 and #50 can play in the Toilet Bowl. The last and only bowl game.

Put some reasonable restrictions on the transfer portal.

Salary caps for players and coaches.

There needs to be a matchup between 2 winless teams. With OT rules one is guaranteed to come out a winner. It might be the most hard fought game outside of the playoffs.

I like it. The teams in the NIT playoff play for the #25 spot in the top 25.
