As I thought more about it, Jurgens was described as having a nasty streak.  Some other Huskers have been described as the same.  These guys are and others are not.  You can't teach that.  You can't make a guy a fighter.  One is or isn't.  We can disagree.  Whatever.

I think you are confusing my desire for an O that has the capability to grind it out vs one that only grinds it out.  Currently, IMO, we do not have an O that is built/capable of grinding it out.  I like that ability in an O.  I like the capability when needed to have both.  I do not think that is an anomaly in college football.  I do not think you can win without the ability to do both.  

Again, just my opinion.  Differs from yours, but all encompassing statements such as "don't really exist anymore" are just opinions.....

The only ones I can think of are teams that run triple option scheme and even then, they try to have a big play element to them whether it's the glorious option pass or just the nature of the triple option forcing teams into mistakes.  Still, we've seen the ceiling of those teams in the modern era.  Army played almost flawlessly against Michigan this year and Oklahoma last year and at the end of the day, they still got out-athleted and lost.

If you want to use a P5 team, Johnson at GT was able to put together a two 10 win seasons and they still lost at least 3 games.

I'll leave it at that as I don't want this to derail into another 'is the option still viable in today's CFB environment' discussion.
