HQW 9: State of The Nation

I think the defense turned a corner,
I still look at this team and I am amazed at how young they are, I do not think they need McBride every week but this was the perfect time for some old timers to remind them of what that N on their helmet stands for.

I really like Joe Daily but I am starting to think his days are numbered, it is too bad good kid just set up to fail.
our defense should play like that every game.

I guess it gets pretty easy to feel good after a win. I'll tell you this, though, if we have to keep digging up Osborne and McBride to come in and fire up the players and fans the way Colorado used to dig up Sal Aunese every week, we're in trouble.
I agree.
Osborne and Mcbride did not come in for the whole week and work up a scheme to shut down missu, they did give a speech and they did fire up the team, but that is not the lone factor for why our defense played good.

Sievers was the biggest emotional factor on the defense against Missouri.
