Huh...a shoutout for the Nebraska/Wisconsin game on MSNBC

Was flipping channels and came across Jeff Zelney on the 'Daily Rundown' show on MSNBC, and apparently he's a Nebraska grad, because in the 'shameless plugs' section, he gave a shout-out to the Wisconsin/Nebraska game as the best game of the week.

Then Chuck Todd (host) said it may be good, but it won't measure up to the upcoming 'Farmageddeon' game later this year, to which Zelney disagreed.

So, doing a search, apparently UN-L has a bigshot political wonk in Washington from Exeter, NE done good:

And let's keep the politics out--just wanted to note the shout-out we got on national TV. I'll try to find a video of it if such a creature exists online.

He didn't think that our game with Wisconsin will be more exciting than Kstate-Iowa St?

lot's of prolifec people out of nebraska. Espn's Shelly Smith is from Pender. She attended UNL for one entire year before beginning her journalism career.

The attention can't hurt

I'm thinking they were using that in reference to the upcoming Iowa/Nebraska tilt.

And IIRC, Chuck Todd is a Miami (FL) grad, so he's pretty much looking for a new bandwagon to hop on. CNBC had him on to discuss the Miami story in a panel.
