Has anyone been watching this crap. It's now a Category 5. oNly three have ever made landfall in the US. I just saw on the news that people are now filing into the Superdome to sleep. They may have to stay there for days.....LIVE IN THE SUPERDOME.

 
People are evacuating the city or trying to get into the Super Dome and some dumb reporter asks "How are you feeling". Can they try to be alittle more insensitive???

It would have been great to have one of them say I feel like kickin' your butt. :lol:

 
I saw people on the news in the French quarter. They said they were going to wait it out. STUPID, with the looks of it there won't be much of the French quarter left. Isn't it under sea level. That place is going to flood like crazy.

Yep...a good protion of the entire city is under sea level, and the surges are predicted to be over 20 feet.

Exacltly. That's one of the problems with the city in general.

This storm is nothing to mess with and I hope people actually heed the warnings, unlike Floridians did when Andrew was going to come ashore.

Most of the buildings in the French Quarter are wood. Water and wood means brand new resorts, where one or two very wealthy people are going to become even wealthier.

Some one at work just told me that part of the roof of the super dome got ripped off. Will someone please verify. I hope nobody got hurt.
