Husker Basketball Recruiting Thread

Just joined the forum. Been in Texas for 20+ years. To hear coach Miles reiterate that he's going to recruit Texas is a BIG deal for us. He said he's been recruiting down here for a number of years with CSU. With one DFW kid committed to sign in November, that's a good sign as well.

Speaking of recruiting Texas. Here is an interesting student-athlete that is being recruited by Nebraska. Bio indicates a young man of high character and intellegence....an inspiring neurologist. Sounds like a pre-med guy. If he visits he should talk to Fischer, Zatechka and Strassburger to get their pre-med experiences.

Flatwater, I've seen where it looks like he was at least on the roster at Judson down in a suburb of San Antonio (a traditional football power) in the past, but I've never seen him on any of the bigger AAU programs, or any of the central Texas ones either, for that matter. Interesting.

I got fooled on this. His hometown may be San Antonio but Miller school is in Virginia per his tweeter in the Verbalcommits link. Thanks for pointing that out. My bad.

Jabari Parker is Duke bound
Yeah, and (hard to believe, I know) the espn scrawl failed to list DONU as being one of his other offers....................bewildering isn't it?.......that the jugheads in Storrs didn't think our offer worthy ....?

Atewe visits this weekend against Wisconsin. We could really use him next year! It would be great if we could pack Devaney like we did for USC and Webster.

Exactly.

Plus Whisky is not much better than we are offensively. It may be a case of first to 40 wins........egad........

The atmosphere wont be great I bet. Lots of students will be getting back to campus Sunday afternoon and getting settled back in. What we can sell Atewe is immediate MAJOR minutes. We are thin as paper on the post.

Good to find out that Atewe and another target are from Toronto. That takes the climate excuse immediately off the table. In fact, a Sunday trip to Lincoln with upper 30's could be analogous to South Beach.....
