Fisher said three incoming DBs would start out at cornerback this fall: Pola-Gates, Farmer and Newsome.  I assume that means Wright will be a safety.

Wow. I thought Wright and Gates were going to be the only corners coming in with Gates eventually going back to safety.  I’m still hoping that Farmer outgrows his position and turns into a hybrid S/OLB. Essentially a more athletic Domann.

Yeah, not what I expected. I'm sure they'll all shuffle around, but corner is probably the quickest path to contributing early given our current roster (lots of young Safeties), and the more difficult to learn. Might as well start there and see if they can handle it, a move over to Safety seems easier than the reverse.
