Why the hell would you pick Nebraska to be your gang logo / clothing? Beyond me. lol.

Because it's red. There's probably a general ban on Red, Blue, and other colors with gang affiliations.

Gangs choose all sorts of logos to represent. I seen on gangland theres one in Fresno that wears all Fresno gear. The Raiders stuff is or use to be real popular in the Compton and LA areas. With most of our stuff having just a N on it I can easily see how gangs would choose it.

Gangs have been doing this for decades. This gang is called the Norteños, their color is red, so they dig wearing red Husker gear with a big red N on the front. No different than any other gang picking out team gear from any random team that just happens to have the same letter/color combo.

I was in California over the summer and I walked around every day for a week, often at night, and was almost always wearing some piece of Husker clothing. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who survived.
