The fact Taylor Martinez now has his own official nickname thread on HuskerBoard got me thinking about nicknames for his teammates. Because nicknames are so much fun, I figured we could just start spouting off ideas for other players.
I've always liked the use of Crick-rolled, Crickshaw and E-Mart, but that's just not enough. We have some amazing talent on this team. Sweet nicknames is the least we can do.
Recently my favorite idea comes from a buddy of mine for Dejon Gomes. Think of the way he looks and plays and add a little play on words to the Honeycombs mascot and you get "HoneyGomes"
For our lockdown DBs, I've heard "Prince Island" but that's just unoriginal IMO. And for Dennard, I definitely like "The Fonz".
