Husker Softball 2025



It's gotta be Bahl, right? Canady has the slight edge as a pitcher, but a significant step down as a hitter. Ellis is obviously the best hitter of the 3 but is just a hitter. Bahl is basically softball's Shohei Ohtani, she's a top-5 pitcher and hitter.

EDIT: My mistake, this is a different group/award. Bahl can still win the USA Softball Player of the Year, but frankly should win all of them and didn't win Softball America's PotY.

I grew to love softball when coaching my daughters.  I then took my team to watch Creighton play Drake in Des Moines because I had a relative playing.  I was totally blown away by the college game at that level.  

Now...I see Husker baseball and softball are playing at the same time.  If I'm watching either of them, it's going to be softball first.

Yep the total spirit of women's softball is amazingly fun, especially to see the smiles and hear the chants.  Real good players too.
