Huskers @ #2 Minnesota, #18 Michigan

Wow.... They fell apart in the forth after losing the third 28-26.

Might be good for the team to lose this one.

B1G Champs boys and girls

If Minnesota beats Wisconsin than I believe we out right win the Conference

Congrats to the girls on being outright conference champs. That's probably a bigger accomplishment than winning the national championship honestly.

Whaaaaaaaaaaatttttt?

To win the national tournament you need to win what, 4-5 games, at least 1-2 of them against lowly seeded teams. To win our conference you need to win about 20 games, and it seems about half of them versus other top 10/top 5 teams that know exactly how you play.

The B1G is in a totally different stratosphere when it comes to volleyball.

Ya but you can still lose 2 maybe 3 games in the conference and still win the conference championship where else in the actual NCAA tournament it's one and done.
Besides winning the Natty is the most prized possession

Yeah, I think "bigger" is probably not the right term. Winning a natty is as big as it gets.

You could make an argument for "tougher", though you do get more chances as Dewiz said.

This is a great agruement because both sides have a valid point.

NCAA - zero room for error and the top prize

Big10 - longer road to victory and smaller prize.

Competion is about equal in both tournaments - I could easily see it go something like this:

R1 small conference (similar to worst teams in big10)

R2 mid level power 5 conference (similar to average big10 team)

R3 top 10 power 5 conf (similar to top 5 big10 team)

R4 Minnesota or Wisconsin

R5 Minnesota or Wisconsin
