Huskers Announce Future Non-Conference Opponents

wish we would've stuck to the no FCS thing but I get it
In the age of the CFP, I actually don't really get it.  Aside from being a nice "warm up" game and hopefully an easy W on the schedule (that will probably hurt you more than help in the CFP), what's the point of scheduling games like these?

The SEC does just fine with scheduling games like these, and only having 8 conference games.

Personally I think it's BS that they don't get penalized by the committee for scheduling them at the end of the season but that's another conversation.

Beating Mercer is better than losing to Oklahoma.
True. I guess that would be the reason but sucks as a fan for most teams

I'd just rather play all FBS teams when possible. If you somehow drop one of these games its more forgivable to lose to a Memphis/Cincinnati/UCF than it is to lose to North Dakota and North Dakota State.

Not that the Huskers should worry about losing these games but you never know (see NIU this past year).
