Huskers to Face Utah in the Las Vegas Bowl

Agree. It's been years since Nebraska has hired a proven winner of a coach. Rhule and Riley are career .500 coaches while Frost was unproven in P5 and had a short tenure at UCF.
And that's why I feel that Nebraska's Athletic Department is to blame for the struggles that we have had to endure throughout the years. I'm not saying we would be world beaters but he haven't done ourselves any favors throughout the years of trying to win. With sub par head coaches you get sub par assistants too.

Morgan Scalley has officially been named head coach of the Utah football program, Director of Athletics Mark Harlan announced last Saturday, succeeding 21-year head coach Kyle Whittingham.

Scalley has served as the Utes' defensive coordinator for the past 10 seasons, leading some of the most dominant defenses in program history. He has served on the Utah Football staff for each of the past 20 seasons in a variety of roles.

Yeah bc Nebraska hasn't ever gone after a established head coach with a winning record.

You are correct: TO - no, Solich -no, BC No, Bo No, MR1 No, Frost No, MR2 no. Have to go back to the BobFather and his stint at Wyoming. At least some guy named Tom Osborne worked out. Solich would have could have and should have if given more time with his staff rebuild.

Same could be said about Bo.

and the Bobfather was our 4th choice that year and at first he also turned us down

Point well-taken. But, after a couple of decades of having tickets in the south stadium, I am challenged to know what could be pillaged from there.
Pipe tobacco.

My dad’s first year coaching at Nebraska in the 80s we had family seats in south stadium. About 50 rows up and just to the right. Back then, people could smoke in the stands. I remember after the first or second full season, I asked my dad after a game, “why does it smell like grandads house? And why do people dump out their pipes onto the steps in the stadium?” His reply was genius…”when we score it’s time to light up. When there is a close game it’s time to light up. When the refs make bad calls it’s time to light up. When it’s halftime, it’s time to light up.”

There are some stained benches and steps up in that ol stadium. Along with many great memories.
