Huskers vs. #6 Illinois

Dang- this is sad the amount of losses the volleyball team is having this season.  I was told (over the summer) that the players thought they had a better team this year vs last year.  Guess that is not the case.  All is not lost yet.

Yeah, it's been kind of odd.  Can't quite put my finger on where to put the "blame".  But they've actually played fairly well most of the time.  Just not quite well enough against some really good opponents.

Only one game (that I've seen) did we really play poorly - the first Wisconsin game I think.  Illinois was just really good at blocking.  Our outsides didn't get much.  Of course, part of that was we were just a bit off in our passing so they weren't getting really good looks either.

My best guess is that our passing is just not quite where it needs to be.  That was definitely the biggest problem against Wisconsin.  We seem to be scrambling a lot and not completely in system to get the attacks that we're used to getting.
