Not trying to be hyperbolic or overly pessimistic but I think NU loses this by double digits. I'd love for NU to turn this season around and make a decent run. However I do not see that happening.
easy to be in panic mode after the last game. but i think the kids are going to be pissed about last game and come out with a fire we haven't seen in awhile. at least i hope that is what happens.
Team is young and doesn't have much senior leadership. They will either get it together (play as a strong unit) and finish in the top half of league (overachieve) or fold it up and finish in the bottom 3 (underachieve)
I'm just not seeing much to be optimistic about. This team can't shoot and can't defend. Tai is about the only reliable playmaker. 5 years in and Tim is stupefied at how inept his team is. The Gardner Webb loss isn't an anomaly, it's part of a pattern. If something doesn't click for this team soon, it could be an epically abysmal season, even by NU basketball standards.
Same team that hung with UCLA, Creighton, should've beat VTech. Everyone just needs to take a breath and sit on there hands for a little while. Won't be an in season firing even if we lose every conference game.
