Dana's first scripted series went well. They adjusted and he collapsed. D was non-existent. Out of position, missed angles, failed to tackle. Couldn't tell Rhule or anyone worked with the DL. He walked around with his hat to the back. TJ looked average at best.

Next season will be brutal. No idea how some dudes in this staff still have jobs. 6 wins next year is the ceiling. Hoping we can buyt that $30 million dollar team. But then you also need a $30 million dollar staff. Rhule's last year will be 2026. Won't make it to 2027.

I'm not disagreeing tbh. What position group under their watch has imporved? RB room? Barthel has EJ on the bench until Dana? LB's? TE's are not even used. Thomas? We are down to 1 schollie QB coming back next year. Rhule has swung and missed more times that I can count with his hirings and firings.

College football feels sorry for Nebraska. It's not just that we're bad. We're sad.

It's the running commentary for every announcer who covers our games, and even they admit they're mystified how the program continues to be so disappointing and irrelevant. They genuinely feel sorry for our fans.

My friends who used to tease me when Nebraska lost don't even tease me anymore. It would be like kicking a puppy.

I've been a fan for 60 years and I don't think I've ever been less optimistic about the next Nebraska football season.
 
If we don’t finish top 3 in the portal then what are we doing? Stop it with the 2027 class, sure I like what we are doing but some of those guys won’t even produce until fall 2028! Get dudes now!

About sums it up tbh. Not even a punch line anymore. People just feel bad for us.

Even if we get that top 5 2027 class, who have we developed? This staff is a study in how not to develop. Those kids will come and be in the portal by 2028.
 
Just started watching the game recording- the defensive line is getting run over and pushed back by a running back. No pressure on the Utah QB.

Shocked to our offense score on the opening drive. Also stunned that the defensive backs are not getting the job done e.
 
Let’s just start the post game analysis with this: this game was a terrible matchup. We’re not even on Utah’s continent.

So there’s that.

Lateef started to look good…once Utah’s third string defense was in.

Our defense is bad in every possible respect. Our linebackers are slow, take terrible angles, and are wimps with tackling.

Shavers is turning out to be almost like a comically bad player.
 
agreed I was optimistic when he was hired - the turn-a-round coach. Year 3 miracle guy. He talked the talk and surely at NU he'd walk the walk. Boy was I wrong. Without EJ we would not have been to a bowl game. Last year we barely made it. I would have rather had no bowl game but had the opportunity for a true coach to build this team. Maybe we have to become an Indiana so we can get our Cig.

Most of those guys will now be reevaluating even coming
 
We've averaged 18 ppg over our last seven.

Satt averaged 19 over his seven games last year, including Indiana and Ohio State.
