I thought about posting something similar to this. The question I have is about the culture. We have a somewhat similar culture. We are football centric like PSU and they're saying the cover up is due to their culture. My question is, would we blinded by our culture and cover something like this up, or would we report it too?

I still wonder about the "culture" and it's effect on Paterno.

I'm guessing he was brought up in a Religion that has been getting some flak recently for similar treatment / cover up by some Priests and their "higher ups".

Historically, didn't the Greeks or Romans treat boys the same way?

I feel for the victims, ......but it's an interesting study in a person's ability to "dehumanize"? certain individuals or think less of them? just because they are needy or have their fathers out of the picture.
