I-Back Depth

Man if we land all these "commits" and "should commits" we will be looking VERY nice at IBack. How does this lineup sound?..

Brandon Jackson(commit), Andre Hall (visiting next wk), David Horne, Cory Ross, Maurice McClennan(commit), Mike McLaughlin(should commit), Freddie Franklin(should commit), Tierre Green!!!!

Wow, how do you stack that depth chart?!! :o

Yes this does look nice. but remember that nothign is solid until signing day. if this does wurk out tho, some of these guys may be moved to split out or even on the defense. also Fred Franklin may go the JC route since he has probs academically.

What a nice problem to have huh? If we do get the majority of these guys, hopefully the competition level will "raise the bar". Also keep in mind McClellan is listed as an "athlete" which appears to make him versatile.

Yes, but remember we also had this "problem" a couple years ago when we had 7 Ibacks on scholorship. I beleive '01 in there somewhere and none of them up to this point did or have worked out.

I think Horne right now has the most potential, but refuses to work hard and use it. Ross is as good as he's going to get. He'll never have a gain over 15 yards. I honestly haven't seen enough of Green to develop an opinion, but I do beleive if B Jax gets his grades in order and qualifies this year will be our back of the future.

I'm not sold on any of the backs in camp right now. Obviously lots of time to go though.

Hey guys....When I look at the I-back spot I see a solid starter in Cory Ross...

David Horne showed flashes 2 years ago but seems to lack the ability to make anyone miss (last year). The new guys coming could help , but I really like Cory Ross' toughness and speed....He really hit the holes hard when he got healthy.

Cory probably is not in the same league as Ahman Green or Lawrence Philips, but he has done nothing but succeed when put in the game....And lets not forget he has not run behind the best of lines, nor has he had the benefit of a good Qb...

Look for this kid to gain 900 to 1500 yards next year

and you can add Kade Pittman to that list. my buddie told me he is moving to RB from WR. they really think he can work well in the WCO with his good hands. kidz a stud.

25 Pittman, Kade

WR 5-11 195 RFr. North Platte, Neb. (North Platte)

A couple stats on Tierr Green. Not bad, better than I thought.

Green lowered his 40-yard dash time to 4.40 seconds before winter conditioning. His 6-foot-1 frame now carries 200 pounds instead of 185.

There is a picture of him in the OWH and looks like Ahman
