and i still stand by my statement. the google search engine didn't accidently come up those results, people used a deliberate feature of google's search engine to force the results they want.Actually, it isn't any deliberate act by Google. For an interesting read on how it came to be, see THIS LINK.keep in mind that the guys that run google are big time Democrat boosters. that "george w. bush" = "failure" isn't an accident or a quirk or an innocent little mess-up.
i won't say anything more on the subject other than google isn't always some great and impartial beast that just magicaly happens. people own it, people code it and sometimes people let their opinions color their judgement at work.
end of line.
could they change the search results? you betcha, when it suits their needs. they have in the past.
should they in this case? my gut reaction is no, because i do value free speech. but let's not pretend google is some apolitical beast, as 98% of their political contributions went to Democrats. and let's not kid ourselves into thinking that google is a stalwart for freedom of information. ask the chinese.
google says they"reflect the opinion on the Web, for better or worse.'' but don't think that they cannot or will not change what you see if it doesn't jibe with their opinion or bottomline.
