Dear *****,
Thank you for taking time to send me an email expressing your concerns about our program. However, I think that a number of quotes that you attributed to me have been misinterpreted. Let me go over a few of those with you:
"I will not let this program gravitate toward mediocrity". What I meant was that we would get there as quick as we can. Thankfully, we have arrived.
"We want to play for national championships." What I meant was the volleyball, bowling, and robotics teams.
"We want to be competitive immediately." And actually we are, at least with some of the teams. Were you at the Ball State game by chance? How competitive was that?
"We will not concede the conference to UT and OU". What I meant was we'll hang around and make laughingstock of ourselves and embarrass the conference.
In closing, I will tell you that Harvey and I are taking a close look at the program. I feel if our team just had more player meetings, we'd probably be all set. Cosgrove is going to be OK - he's a professional just look at those armbands dude's got on.
And no, coach C wasn't clueless on TV the other night. He was thinking "Boy do I have a sweeeeet parachute."
