Very well could've been a TE. I thought that one was Farniok I do know it game from the right side. But the middle two INT's were definitely his fault just horrible throws. 

It was not on Farniok.  We tried to get cute with our pass protection and it cost us.

The entire line blocked left so instead of Farniok simply blocking the guy in front of him, he was instructed to slide left and blocked nobody.  We tried to bring a TE from across the formation to pick up the DE but by the time he got there the DE had a five yard free run and was able to push him back into Lee.

These are things that I heard about Lee during the off-season from fans, that Lee hasn't shown me yet this season.

1.  Lee will be able to step up in the pocket to avoid sacks.

2.  Lee is mobile enough to actually run designed QB runs.

3.  It will be good to have a QB to go throw progressions and make accurate passes to the 2nd or 3rd option on the play.

4.  Lee won't force throws downfield.

i especially want to see number 3.

If we have a pro quarterback in the making taking snaps, I want to see him going through progressions, manipulating the coverage by looking them off, and if things aren't there, hitting the check down on time and in stride so they have an opportunity to turn it into a bigger play.

I guess one other thing I was expecting out of Lee but did not see yesterday was leadership.  We were told that the team gravitated toward him, and he was a natural leader, yet I did not see him trying to motivate his team that they could in fact come back and win, or show the kind of poise down the stretch that he knew he could lead them to victory.  This was just the opposite when I watched the OU/OSU game and it was tied 10-10 in the 2nd half, and Mayfield took charge, led his team down the field, was in their faces on offense and defense pumping them up, etc..  I realize Mayfield is a Heisman candidate, but even some of his leadership skills would have been nice to see from Tanner.

This is asinine.  He led us back from down 28 to down 7 and driving with 2 minutes left.  You can question his decisions on his INTs and he did not have a great game by any stretch but to say that game Saturday showed no leadership and that he couldn't motivate them is ignorant.

Lee is fine. The main problem yesterday was he was put into obvious passing downs and that isn't his game. He isn't a gun slinger, but more of a game manager. It's his second game here as a Husker. He will continue to improve on his mistakes. 

I told people from the beginning to calm down and not put him on such a high pedestal. The kid is a solid QB, but he isn't going to win the damn Heisman trophy.

Ultimately, I don't really care. I think deception is necessary.

But what really hurt us last night was Bryant going down. Oregon's D was starting to tighten up the nuts to bottle him up even before he got hurt, but once he went out, they completely abandoned the run with Wilbon. Ozigbo has to be completely in the doghouse right now because he didn't step on the field. Having Wilbon as the only RB they trusted really hurt us.

At that point, I have no idea why they continued with play action. We were down and time was slipping away, so obviously their D wasn't buying it. All it did was give Lee less time to make his reads and scan the defense. You could see it on the play where he faked the handoff and instinctively tried to zip the ball in to a completely covered Hoppes.

When you've abandoned the run game and your QB has no mobility, why would you give him LESS time to read things? I don't get that at all.

Basically we saw everything people hated about Armstrong (including multiple "could have been picks"), except without the running ability.

The major difference is we have highly regarded prospects on the bench instead of some walk-on from Wind River, Nebraska.

It's not peculiar that people want to see what they can do.

He looked good early, but our def. made us 1 dimension.  Plus our TEs & RBs need to learn how to pass block!  Push to the outside not inside or get run over.

This is really pretty accurate.  TA would have passed for about 50% too but he also would have had about 60 yards rushing.

Nope- Best QB we've had in that 10 years.  Lots of potential.  He's a warrior and will work on the things he needs to work on.  He will make those around him do the same.

Many people blamed his struggles at Tulane due to poor o-line play.  He's not getting much better protection here at NU.

Some of this goes on the play calling, as he had to hold the ball too long.  When we became 1 dimensional, you knew the pressure was coming so we needed quicker routes & a faster pace.

We will have to disagree on this. I did not see a confident QB that was coming through under pressure. I think he showed poor judgment and had plenty of chances to lead the team back
