I Peaked Ahead to 2013 . . . What an easy schedule!

Southern Miss is #25 in the BCS Standings this year. I know that doesn't mean much for 2013, but never count out the Golden Eagles.

if you think the 2013 schedule is good. Then look at 2017 we only have 1 game that year. So a good chance of going undefeated. But with 1 game that might hurt us a tad in the BCS standings through.

For those of you who didn't catch it in my post. :sarcasm

2013 should be a great year for us, our youth will be very experienced at that point too. Martinez will be a Sr, the Fr3 will be Juniors, our secondary will be Jr and Sr laden. Peat and Rome on the D-Line. Hopefully our linebackers will have a great recruiting class this year.

Love it HiSD!
Kevin Williams and Jay Guy say hello.
Add Big Vincent Valentine in that mix too :)

Just peaked ahead to 2013. Our first 8 games that year are absolute gimmes. Callahan could have gone 8-0 against that slate with his 2007 team. The final four games are tough, but, man, those first 8 are easy wins. Why am I looking ahead to 2013? Not sure, just did it!
Gimmes? No game is absolute. Ask Iowa.

I'm very worried about @OSU next year.

If Miller continues improving at the rate he is......it's going to be tough.

2 things have to ABSOLUTELY happen the minute 2011 closes:

1) Get TM into a QB academy of some sort to fix his passing/QB skills. Just imagine if he did. Our passing game would be lethal with the weapons we have. If TM does not improve, then what a huge waste of talent it would be for Bell, Enunwa and Turner.

2) Get a couple of faster LB's and one's who can tackle in space - bec. that's what we'll need to slow down mobile QB's. Running the peso will not work with teams not named MSU, PU and NW.
Your 2nd point is already happening on the recruiting front. Last year and this year we are hitting LB depth hard. WHOO HOOO

Agreed. Bo's motto is "One game at a time, one day at a time" for a reason. The scare we sustained from South Dakota St. last year is proof enough. And call me crazy, but I like having a tough schedule. Builds a tougher team at the end of the year.

Lol I didn't know that was a recruit, I was like what does Vincent Valentine have to do with our future defensive line?

2013 is shaping up nicely because the teams that are most likely to be the best in the Leaders division are not on our schedule.

I was going to save this for later but what the hell

Spring ball - Don't block Martin on pass plays. If TM throws off his back foot - don't blow the whistle. Aversion therapy at its finest

That was good! So, in other words, our 2017 schedule is similar to Boise State's schedule.
