I think that they should turn off the Huskervision and the Jumbotron.

I've been to many Hawkeye games both when they stunk and when they were good. Both against good teams and bad teams. I will tell you this those it was nothing like going to a game in Lincoln. It doesn't even compare. One year the student section decided it would be fun to throw marshmellows stuffed with pennies at their own cheerleaders and band. Multiple fights broke out in the student section as well. I went to the IA/Ill. game when Jeff George played and all the Iowa fans could yell about was the Basketball scandel that was going on in Ill. I should also state that I went to the Iowa games before I ever went to a game in Lincoln.

I do agree that some of the older crowd want to sit down but that was happening way before the screens came into play. I've had season tickets for the last four years and had never been told to sit down until this year. It wasn't by an old person either it was by some people in the North Endzone in the new seats which I find really odd considering how long those people had probably been waiting on a chance to get season tickets.

As far as the SEC goes tailgating is bigger in those area's so I'm going to say that their is a lot more drinking going on so the crowds are going to get into it more.

I'd have to say thats one of the worst ideas I've possibly ever heard

"Yeah! We bought this multi-million dollar jumbotron. Everyone loves this thing. He's a great idea: Lets not use it."

What the hell are you talking about son?

On the topic: Dumb idea. But I have had people tell me to sit down. I love standing at game. I feel more into it. I don't know why we don't stand the whole game. Last year against KSUcks, we stood most of the second half, but that was the most I have stood.

I say they should put up another bigger screen over the south stadium. Make it as wide as the width of the stands. As far as the headphones, there's a lot you can get on the radio play by play that you can't get from the stadium announcements. I usually have an ear bud in my right ear, although have found there is a couple second delay on the radio.

During the Nebraska vs KU game we were standing though almost the entire second half. People tend to stand up when the game is exciting, and sit down when its not. Not to mention with the screen people can get a great view of the game, even if there in bad seats.
