"I was actually recruited by coach Tom Osborne. I had a trip set up but I ended up canceling it. I went to the University of Washington with my first trip, then I was going to come out here and then to Wisconsin. After I went to Washington I feel in love with it and I ended up not taking a trip out here. So, I had done a little bit of research about Nebraska back then at that point. When I look at those National Championship trophies from 1994, 1995 and 1997 - that was right when I would’ve been here. I wonder if I made the right choice sometimes.”

I love that story...especially considering how rough the previous home and home were. I wasn't living in Nebraska at that time and was the only Cornhusker fan where I watched those. Johnny Mitchell was a bright spot, though, as I recall.

 
He could have gotten water and towels out to Stoopid Larry, Ahman Green, Clinton Childs and Damon Benning in spectacular fashion.
