while there have been a few fights and trolling today(I think 2 or 3 closed) there havent been to many. while we haven't always agreed with some of the other posters... they have been respectful with very few exceptions. I am impressed

 
I agree that our two resident Mizzou fans, Truman and Tyger, have been great posters. I appreciate their sportsmanship and cander. :thumbs

I have to say (and I am sure I will be crusified on Tigerboard for saying this), but there has been a lot of crap going on over on Tigerboard. I really think the problem is that the fan bases for both of our fan bases.

Our fans aren't used to winning this big, and it brings out the worst in some of our fans. At the same time, some Nebraska fans aren't used to losing big games like this and some posts and discussion over there have sounded like sour grapes. (I nearly got into a fight with my Husker fan father this morning when he was trying to tell me that Chase Daniel isn't good and that our defense didn't step up, that NU's offense was just that bad.)

I'm certainly proud of our program, but I have found in many cases it is easier to have a substanative conversation over here rather than on Tigerboard.

You should be proud of your program. If you weren't then you wouldn't be a fan. The Mizzou team played with passion and fire last night and that's what we used to have. Husker fans were spoiled for years so you obviously understand where some of us are coming from. :thumbs

Yikes, how could anyone say the Missouri defense didn't step up? Though I've only caught a couple games, I'm pretty sure that's the best production you've gotten out of your defense all season. I believe your coach said something to the same effect.

I also have no doubts our terrible performance made the defense look even better. It was pretty sad.

I'd like to believe all is not lost for Nebraska yet this season. I would like to believe that my Tigers are just that good and that Nebraska will still win most of it remaining games. There are still a lot of games left, and as a Tiger fan, I am still waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Yeah, I get attacked over there more frequently than I do here.

The thing that also drives me crazy are the countless posts every week before the game with speculation on if we will ever where all gold uniforms, gold helmets . . blah blah . . .

I guess before we had a decent team to talk about we had to talk about something.

 
You guys should do well if you keep up that level of play. The thing that would worry me is Missouri typically brings their best against Nebraska, but can't sustain it for the remainder of the games. But if the defense can keep up the intensity, it'll serve the team well, that's for sure.

maybe you can be like the colts last year..... pig does kind of remind me of the colts safety(sanders i think)........ugh... bad chiefs memories

It is true we usually do bring our best against Nebraska. I just hope this team is as different as it is starting to feel like. While I am excited as hell that we are getting Game Day in Norman next weekend, it also scares the hell out of me.
