If, and it's a big if, Tressel is in fact hired as the next HC...

I know rumors are rumors and nothing is set in stone, but with rumors swirling around that Tressel will be the next HC, how does his show-cause affect the program overall? I know he can't coach certain games (and that can be negotiated), but the fact any infraction could be cause for stronger sanctions against the team/university is a little concerning to me. What do these sanctions entail? If a player steals a bike, or there are more free textbooks, how will the program and the University be affected? Or do player infractions have nothing to do with Tressel's show-cause?

I'm not saying I don't want Tressel here. Quite the opposite. He has a proven record as HC and having him on the sideline could make for some really fun seasons.

It's highly unlikely that Tressel is coming here, I would like the higher, don't get me wrong as long as we worked out the show cause stuff and it didn't effect us.
