If Nebraska wins it all???

I don't think until we've played at least two games, we can have an idea of how things are going to pan out...
If last year told me anything, even two games won't give you a good indication.
But again, last year, remember who our coach was...

I know we really won't be completely sure until at least half way in, but we should have a fair idea by then...

wow...all though a national championship would be amazing...7-5 with a bowl win to cap it off will pick me back up....

1st 3 are must wins, 4th-6th are possible losses, but i think 1 in 3 isnt impossible.. 7th and 8th are must wins... 9th and 10th are tough.. 11th and 12th should be wins...

looking at that, im seeing 7-5 also.. pretty easily.. hopefully we can pick up another for 8-4 or possible 2 for 9-3.. nice that ku and mu are both at home.. gives us the crowd factor....

Would we be considered 2008's Cinderella team, or a program that has returned to domanance.

Will the Huskers win it all this year? Probally not, if they did I'd have to say it was a return to domance. Yet after the last 4 years I wonder how many people would call it luck. :restore

If Nebraska wins it all???

Pure miracle....

6-6 maybe 7-5 and a bowl.

But opinions vary.

GO BO!!

Ok now you are just crazy, an improved ISU and enigmatic KSU?

ISU is improved - from pathetic to really bad and KSU is dying under a desperate coach who has been in over his head from the begining.
Watch it wise guy....

I hate to tell you this but the Cyclones have a lot more experience and...yes, perhaps...more talent coming back from 2007 than the Huskers do especially in the trenches where we'll be bringing back 4 starting O-Linemen and 3 starting D-Linemen. We also have a pretty well stocked group of experienced players coming back at LB and especially in the secondary...something which the Huskers do not have the luxury of having.

On offense, we may have lost Myer, Blythe and Moses but we're finally retaining all our RB's and if Scales can keep from getting hurt in the spring drills, Scales, Bass and Robinson should finally give us an effective running game. Arnaud got quite a few snaps at QB, has game experience and is a dual threat type of guy who can run or pass effectively. Summerall, Bates and a host of others are available to do the receiving plus we picked up a nice Juco from ND State who is a real burner and gives us another deep threat.

With all the returning players and a weak schedule, watch for the Clones to be the Kansas of 2008. They play with enthusiasm and heart...Chizek wouldn't have it any other way. Plus our DC is as big as Mangino and could probably take him in a belly-bucking contest if it comes down to that....

Now he's lost 250 pounds and lots of people are pointing out that the Cyclone cheerleaders should look into the procedure....
Now that's harsh! Is it true that Iowa State replaced natural grass with Astroturf so as to discourage the cheerleaders from grazing during games?

Ha ha...that's pretty funny! Nice to see that the Missouri state prisons give you guys unlimited internet access now.... <_<

Once again...with the cut in the number of scholarships, parity is here for real. Anyone can win on any given Saturday....so the idea that any school could win it all, including Nebraska, is a possibility. Even ISU...as unbelievable as it is that I am even saying that (which I never thought I would give them a chance to win even the Big 8 when it existed).

Am I the only one that dislikes the direction college football is going with all this parity? Teams had to be careful in the era when one loss meant the end of a title hunt.

In the current state of affairs, every team has one loss, making it far less significant if big teams get beaten in the regular season.

Takes a little bit of the fun and excitement out of it, I think.

I hate all the bowl games that reward mediocre (or worse) football teams.

WE'RE SIX AND SIX! Woot!!!

And if I hear the phrase "bowl eligible" used in context with any crap team (ie...Colorado, Iowa, etc...) again I will be forced to push this big red button located on my computer console marked "World Reset...Use Only In Case of Emergency"
