Illinois Week Pressers

It's never a great sign when your scholarship starters get hurt and walk-ons fill in. But he'll be fine, he's a better athlete than most walk-ons and has made some open field tackles on special teams.

This.  He's a college decathlete and a multiple state track champion.

But people just want to complain about things they want to complain about.

If he played football in most other states than Nebraska he would have been a low three star athlete coming out of highschool .. phenomenal high school athlete. Who has worked his butt off to be one of the most athletic kids on the team.. however since he is from binkelman the narrative is we suck this bad for him to play.. when we should be praising his effort and consistency to fill a position of need in a time of need by a kid who is going to give tremendous effort, film prep hard, and stay out of trouble off the field..

Oh so we are doing that thing where small town walkons give great effort, stay out of trouble and watch film...and 4-5 star dudes don't?

That is the only narrative going on, this weird idea that these small town walkons are the only ones that "try"

Okay, wash, rinse, repeat.
No….it’s the story about the highly rated scholarship players got hurt or left and an extremely athletic kid (who I can’t relate to physically) has worked his a$$ off yo be ready to step in when that happens.

It’s not a bad thing or done thing to ridicule. Everyone would love to still have a 4 or 5 star kid in that position, but we don’t. So, glad we have him. And glad he had his chance.

Pretty sure nobody said anything like that.

I am not as glad.  I would rather he not get a chance due to a guy with NFL talent getting hurt.
