Schematically Cubit puts a lot of the onus on the WRs to execute what are referred to as option routes. What that means is that the WR runs a route based on what the DB gives him. This is why Lunt is so often throwing it to open space and the ball falls harmlessly to the ground. The WR went the wrong way, Lunt threw it to where the WR should have been, but isn't.

Option routes are what Beck and Pelini were doing as well, if I recall correctly.

 
I gotta be honest, I don't know that we win this game. I assume we aren't changing much defensively heading into this one. If we get into a shootout, I feel we could be at a disadvantage late. I'll miss watching this one. Last game I had to listen to on the radio was the 2013 Minny game. I really don't know what to expect.

Weather forcast for Saturday calls for cross-wind (NE) 15-20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

Could affect kicking and passing game. I think our run D comes up big in this game.
