This is why, at the beginning of the season, I always roll my eyes when fans put a certain number of wins as the minimum goal we should expect or be upset.  Nobody knows what the injury issues will be throughout the season.  And, as a first year staff, they haven't had the chance to build a lot of depth.

Hopefully, the young guys get their chance and do great things.

In all seriousness, the AD needs to look at putting natural grass in the stadium to help mitigate a lot of these soft tissue/joint injuries we frequently see.

if they win this next game we will know Trev hired the right guy.  That's a big ask of a coach to have 80% of his offensive starters go down in one season. Even if Purdue is bad that's tough to go out with 3 new starters across the o-line and basically new starters at all WR positions.

I wonder though…how much different is the second string talent than the first string.   RB’s have been serviceable, both QB’s are equally awful, it’s possible the better talented receivers will not be playing.    It will be interesting to see how the Backup line performs this week.

Was the first string thhaaattt much better than the two’s or were they fairly equal but someone had to be named starter.

Well....I've rewatched the game from Saturday and I didn't think there was a much drop off with the O line as players started being replaced.  I actually thought Jenkins was pretty good.

I tend to agree.  Makes me think the drop off won’t be much if any going from 1’s to 2’s at most of the positions.
