Frost wanted a really physical spring. Only long term one who won’t be ready by fall is Fidone. Still expecting Stepp to be good before then. 
 

Think he said they had 45 or 48 guys hurt over spring be that just bumps & bruises all the way up to 4-6 week injuries

Yeah, the report I read at the time said "cast" which sounded like a broken arm.   But it sounds like "sling" would have been a more appropriate description.

He didn't specifically say ACL.  Knee injury that requires surgery. 

The time-frame given seems to be pretty optimistic for an ACL but perhaps he was just hoping for the best-case scenario.
