Injury updates???

I wonder if Fluellen would even apply for it. He will most likely be way down on the depth chart as the young secondary will improve over the year. He might decide to move on with his life after football.
yep, I wish Flu the best, but sure was disappointed in his lack of development....

I am thinking the same thing. He may have come to the conclusion that it's not worth it anymore, to risk going through another injury. Enough it enough. Call it a day.

On the flipside of that coin, if he takes a medical redshirt and comes back next year, he may find himself right back at the WR position. I have to think the reason he was moved to the secondary was because of Bowman's injury. If Bowman is back and with Andre Jones, Grixby and Greene all seasoned players next year and a slew of players who should develop this year and during spring/fall practice, he could find himself back in his WR position.

But the depth at reciever is going to be even deeper than corner next year. Nunn, Swift, Hardy, Purify, Holt, Peterson, and Paul, there isn't exactly room for him there either.

It's hard for me to believe that Fluellen will play another down at NE. He has just been plauged with injury since I can remember. I don't think he can compete with the recievers anymore, if he comes back next year, (a sixth year,) he will probably be in a backup corner capacity again, maybe third string. The coaches were giving him lots of props this fall though, and I wish him all the best.

It is both good and bad about the young team. On one end, people will develop and dominate in a few years, but may struggle right now. I don't think Fluellen will ever play that much though either. It's too bad.

Grixby has his cast off now. Not that he will be breaking up many passses against NS. From what Callahan said Flu most likely won't be getting a medical redshirt.
