Instate Juco Talent

I love the way doc sadlers teams play defense, and bo spencer is going to be a big plus this season on offense, but i am an avid fan of nebraska juco basketball, and wondering why doc does not look more into what is in his own backyard

There hasn't been real good JUCO talent in this state since Bobby Jackson played at WNCC. And no Bernard Gardner doesn't qualify as real good. That was long ago, WNCC was a powerhouse back then.

I think there may be only 2 or 3 juco's in Nebraska that have basketball programs. Western Nebr Juco has been decent through the years but I doubt there is much if any Division 1 talent year in and year out.

there are a few guys at wncc getting d1 looks this season, and also a kid by the name

dre henley that is currently lighting up the scoreboard for central community college in columbus, 6'7 lefty that can play the 2 or 3

I just played against central two weekends ago and there isn't anyone on that team that is D1 talent.

There is barely NAIA talent at Central CC, North Platte, or Norfolk. Scottsbluff has had some good players through the years. Do they have some D-I players this year?

Back in the mid to late 90's SCC Beatrice was actually a decent team. I'm pretty sure they've had guys go to D-1 schools out of there. Let me do some digging and I'll get back to you guys.

raul delgado of wncc and dre henley of central community college, henley played on the same high school team as starting pf mike shaw of illinois, and delgado hit 12 3's in one game this weekend.

I played on the same high school football team as Xavier Omon. He made it to the NFL and I didn't. Just because you play on the same team as someone doesn't mean you're good.
