In the stands for the 2001 matchup against Oklahoma (at home). Knowing something "special" was going to happen. Mike Stuntz lived next door to my roomate and I. So we waited the whole game, just waiting and waiting. Then I remember I was eating a slice of pizza and heard; "Eric!!! Eric!!!" I looked up and the OTHER Eric (Crouch) was running down the sidelines and my roomate and I looked at each other and just started screaming before he even caught it. It was one of those rare moments that you know something awesome is going to happen, but you are still surprised to see it. Not to mention, being on the two-page picture in Sports Illustrated (Background).

6) Worst Husker memory?

How loud the stadium was in 2002 against Texas when DeJuan Groce nearly ran his punt return for a TD. The crowd was absolutely insane, loud, and just downright crazy. The Huskers later lined up for the last play of the game, the pass went up the stadium went silent, and it was picked off. Only a minute roar from the far tip of South Stadium was making noise. That was it, the upset over Texas...wasn't going to happen.

Wow, I don't remember...I attended 1 in 94, 1 in 99, and all the home games in 2001, 2002, and all but 2 in 2003.

1...KSU in 2004

The Drafthouse in Omaha. My wife is the bar manager, it's a great atmosphere, great crowd, GREAT food, and the beer is always ICE COLD. 180th and Pacific

Cory Ross without a doubt. I had class with him in 2002, and always thought he should be playing more. I saw how shifty he was when he was put in for more or less mop up duty. To see him arise like he did with the Huskers in 2.5 different offenses (2002 and 2003 were different, a little), was just incredible. He had so much heart and determination. I loved that kid.

unofficially for 17 years, but i've only really, really gotten involved and into the sports over the last few years (just maturing i guess :P )

2) What/who led you to The Nation?

my family? the state? not really sure how to answer this one

3) Where are you from originally?

I was born in Sioux City, moved to Jamestown North Dakota at the age of 2, and then to Nebraska at the age of 8, but always been a Husker fan.

4) Where do you live now?

Columbus

I was going to say my first game attendance, but since that was against southern mississippi in '04, that would be lying. so instead, i would have to say the '05 alamo bowl (like i said, i'm still a rookie)

the repeated chances at greatness snatched away (texas tech, texas)

two so far, looking to change that quite a bit now that i'm out of the house and into higher education

i'm split down the middle; the option is the funnest offense in football history, and is equally as fun to watch, but the wco is also quite fun and is a healthy change

My best friend is a freshman on the Husker football team. I'd always liked the Huskers though since I saw them play. Probably had to do with the fans and how well they traveled. I respected the hell out of that and watned to be apart of it. Not to mention Nebraska is one of the Top 50 public schools in the nation.
