Also, I was unaware of this “tradition”, so it’s entirely possible some players were. Even so, they were obviously waving.

I like the guy that tweeted at UI's band, because you should not be able to spew nonsense like this and not be reprimanded. Just like the Iowa player that accused one of our guys of using a racial slur, but then couldn't remember his number nor exactly what he said.

 I'd never heard of the hospital wave or the rivalry where the winner gets some made up trophy, …..but then I haven't payed much attention to our new nemesis the last couple of years, at least not any more than any Big Ten team.
