God he is insufferable. I'm guessing he does this every week and ends up looking like a total moron when Iowa loses their average of 4-5 games a year.

Andy Staples is definitely a DB cocky Iowa Homer sportscaster, but he's not the worst in that category to come from WHOTV. Chris Hassel is even worse. He currently works for ESPN, but you might remember him from the "Cooter Ray Cornhowler" character. Impartiality and professionalism doesn't seem to be as important as it once was in sports media. At least they have to eat crow after cocking off like that.

You only have to eat crow if someone holds you to it. Doubt this guy acknowledges Iowa's loss to NDSU and his several minutes of ranting about North Dakota. Speaking of which, one surefire way to make yourself look like an idiot is to pretend one unremarkable agricultural state is a utopia compared to another unremarkable agricultural state.
